Rontechmedia was founded by Dr. Rony A. Rodas, Ph.D. — a technologist whose story spans military service, immigration, self-education, and doctoral research in the intersection of technology and learning.
Dr. Rodas pursued higher education through the G.I. Bill following 15 years of U.S. Army service, ultimately earning a Ph.D. in Information Technology Science from Long Island University's Palmer School of Library & Information Science in May 2025. His doctoral dissertation examined how the U.S. Army used distance learning technology to affect recruitment and retention of enlisted soldiers — a question that continues to shape the kind of applications he builds.
Rontechmedia is the vehicle through which he builds the applications he wishes had existed when he was a soldier, a student, and a learner navigating complex institutional systems with few digital tools.
